I wasn't too surprised that my daughter joined the Navy, she had a recruiter trying to get her to join the army when she was in college.  I'm so glad we had her wait.  I'd much rather worry about her on a ship or base than being the boots on the ground.  She will be a HT - Hull Tech...engineering and welding, which she is very excited to do.

We are staying at the Sleep Inn, really close to base.  Our oldest daughter will be flying in....dad and I prefer driving... have not decided yet on that.

It sounds like our daughters are on the same page.....My daughter also has been frustrated with girls in their div talking when they are not supposed to, like during inspection.  She is 23, and very serious about following all rules and procedures.  I'll bet she loved it when your daughter did that!  I have received 2 phone calls so far, on the 12th and the 19th.  No real letters yet, but they were only allowed to start writing home on the 20th.  My daughter is on ship staff, Head PO.....sounds good huh?  well.....that puts her in charge of keeping the "heads" in order.  haha .... guess every job needs doing.

I'm very happy to meet you!

Have a lovely day!
