All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose). Still limited to 2 guests maximum.
Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.
RESUMING LIVE PIR - 8/13/2021 - ONLY 2 GUESTS ALLOWED
MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED.

**UPDATE - 2020**
Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.
Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.
Glad to hear he'll be on his way soon.....133 has already completed FEX...it's not really a school...it's a time (about 3-4 weeks) where they live out in the woods and practice their training for the upcoming deployment and eat MRE's (Tyler's favorite)...ECS training will be about 1 month long...Tyler got to battalion in 2009 just in time to leave for Afghan the first time...He got there just 8 months after leaving for bootcamp...It does seem as if they send them to war zones too soon...The first deployment is always hard, especially to a war zone...This will be Tyler's 2nd deployment to Afghan..I'm sure I'll be a mess while he's gone...Take care and Be Strong Navy Mom!
Yes, he is a CM. He did A-school in Prt Hueneme right after PIR. Then he was in Coronado for almost 3 yrs. at the amphib. base. Talk about living in Paradise-absolutely beautiful there! He wasn't in a battalion then. This is going to be a change.
Great to meet a future 133 Mom....He'll arrive just in time for pre-deployment...They're leaving the country soon....Is he coming from another battalion or did he just finish "A" school? My son is a gunners mate with 133...There are only 4 of them...so he will probably meet Tyler very soon..
