A little about me:
My name is Nicole. I have been dating my sailor for 6 months and have never been happier. He is in the Nuclear Field as an EM. He is also considering applying for OCS. He will be down in Goose Creek for the next few years or so while i am up in PA.

I have a degree in International Politics and a minor in Spanish. I love travelling, reading, and hanging out with friends.

I miss my boyfriend very much, but I know that what he is doing in the Navy is important to him and will eventually benefit our relationship should we decide to get married. but that is sometime in the future...

You're going to do just fine :)

I don't think he'll be starting on the 29th either considering the next class is about to start on the 22nd... That might just be his report date. If he's already done hold in SC, he'll probably still have 2 months of hold here in NY. Then again, who knows with the Navy.

My husband did live in SC and NY but he moved up here right after power grad. I moved up with him when he got to NY since i needed to finish my degree.

When he does start, seriously recommend to him not to go in on the weekend during the first part. That's his given time to cool down and get out of that stressful place. If he did well already, it's likely he'll be at the point he needs to be at by the end of the day (they have to get 25 points a day and some check outs are worth more than that on their own). As long as he shows that he's trying really hard, he won't fail out. Oh, and on Fridays they usually get out by 430. And if he's near the top of his class, he gets to choose 2 days a week that he can come home 2 hours early. Most of them pick that day as friday so he could get out at 130 instead (I know that's not 2 hours but that's what our roommate ends up doing... yeah idk either).

Hey Nicole! I saw your comment on the dream sheet discussion... How long of a projected T-Track was Sean given? He's in A school, right? When will he graduate? Just wondering :)
Aaron graduates A school first weekend in September, and was told about two months for T-Track...

Girl, I hear ya!! I got the “you’re smothering me” crap too only the words directed at me were much more mean, so consider yourself lucky I guess lol. Honestly, I don’t have any words of wisdom that will make you feel any better and truly wish I did. Here’s what I don’t get, in bootcamp our letters and words of encouragement were amazing to them. I don’t know how many times I was told how fabulous I am and how I “got him through bootcamp.” So why now when those same words of encouragement are being used is it considered smothering?? I wish someone could answer that one for me.

I'm gonna personal message you because I feel a rant coming on.
