A little about me:
My home and zipcode are not where I am, so I don't put my daughter in danger. I have been a stay-at-home mom and homeschooled her from second grade through graduation. She has been in a community college and will graduate with an Associate's degree in May. She will go to boot camp August 9th. My husband, her step-dad, and I are currently caregivers for his 30-year-old daughter who is dying from the same disease his first wife died from. She is now having to add thickeners to her liquids. We are thankful that we don't have a job, so we can care for her. My daughter joining the Navy has made me proud, as she always has, and has brought a bright spot in all our lives.
I am here to support my

Click on OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and the Page will open in a new window. Read the Page and follow the directions at the bottom to make change 3 (see the words in bold) so that this page is no longer visible to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web. Don’t forget to click the “Save” button at the bottom.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info.

What is your future Sailor’s rating (job/occupational specialty) or field going to be? There are groups for most specialties and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in August. You will meet others with loved ones leaving 08/09/2017 or that week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together.

Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC.

Your future Sailor may want to join http://www.navydep.com to learn the ins and outs from the DEP point of view.
