OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi Phoenixmom, I lived in Bremerton in 1976. My 1st husband was in the Navy and we were stationed there. He was part of a team who were overhauling the USS Kitty Hawk. My granddaughter, who is my SR, lived there ( with her great aunt) from Oct last year they April this year, then she moved over to Seattle. It's about an hour ferry ride from Bremerton to Seattle. And a couple of hours from Bremerton to Vancouver. It is so beautiful up there! The ferry ride across the  Sound is amazing!
