Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I see you have joined San Antonio MA's; MA is a rating very dear to my heart since my Sailor is an MA. The discussion, Break down week by week, will let you know what happens at NTTC Lackland (San Antonio). You will also want to join MAA Moms. Other groups to check out are New MAA Mom's (it has not been very active) and Security Sailors (it is not as active and includes loved ones of Sailors from other ratings as well). The Rating Information Card for MA can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ma.pdf.

I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members). The Page, PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend, will help you to know how to plan for PIR weekend.

Yeh I am sure they know each other, my boyfriend Shawn said he met quite a few guys with girlfriends when he called this past weekend.  Time will start to go much quicker once the letters start coming in, just think 44 more days!!! That's not that bad in the long run (:  we can do this!

Hi Roni, I am sure they know each other by now. I would love to hear from them more too, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It is only 8 weeks and we are already 2 weeks into this...Time will seem to go quicker when you begin to receive letters.

Hello,

Awesome, I am not the only girlfriend going through this!!! Thank goodness I have someone else in my boat, lol.  I would love to become friends and go through this together!  What ship/division is your boyfriend in? Mine is in Ship 12, Div. 257.
