OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 7/16/2021**

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

We did get to talk to him yesterday and he got our mail (with the wrong numbers) on Friday night. So glad to hear because I've been so worried that he thought we just weren't writing him. I think I finally got a sound sleep last night :) It was good to hear his voice.

I wondered about that. Just looked and it is in fact a number from Elkton. Too funny!

The info I got was from the recruiter too, but the official website for RTC has the address for each ship and I noticed it said 3515. When I saw people from the same division were getting the form letters, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Glad I did!

He'll got to A school in Pensacola for 6 weeks then ???. He's hoping for San Diego or Norfolk. What about yours?

OK, you're the second confirmation I got that I'm one digit off. The last 4 of the zip I have is 3415 and now I'm for sure that's incorrect. I've sent a couple letters because I couldn't stand not talking to him, but hopefully, they won't be delayed too much. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly and see you maybe on 8/09!

I'm questioning whether or not I wrote the address down correctly when the recruiter gave it to me and since I don't have the letter yet, what are the 4 digits after the zip code on the address you got off the letter? Since our recruit's are in the same ship/div, mine will be the same as yours.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones); I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
