Strep!!! oh no!!! Poor baby. I don't know if you saw my comment about my son being tested for bleeding ulcers. I"m soooo worried especially after reading navy/airfoce moms comment that her son was discharged for asthma!!! my SR told me last tuesday when he called that because of his medication for his acid reflux they were doing the testing. he had a physcial with his dr. right before he left and all lab work came back perfect. no signs of anemia which would indicate there was bleeding going on. I sure wish they would have check for all that stuff prior to sending them to boot camp. it just seems like a kick in the gut to get there and then have to leave. I have been praying for my SR and for all the others. I just hope I don't get that dreaded phone call. I'll just keep praying and hope that no news is good news. By the way my son did metion that the pace was finally picking up and their division was getting it together. I pray to God they make it through. Hang in there!

You have not gotten a call at all? My son called me on Tuesday May 3rd; we talked for a good while. He says he's doing well. He wasn't sure when he would get another phone call. Hang in there; maybe they will surprise us with a call for mother's day...by the way; my son sent me flowers to work for mother's day; he set it up before he left for boot camp.... it was such a wonderful surprise.

Hey ShelliKay,

I'm sure you got THE phone call last night-I guess the Recruits were gearing up for an 'all nighter'  LOL  Mine had lots of practice the last term of college, working on serious projects so I think he was actually seeing it as a challenge and looking forward to it.  It was good meeting you and lets be sure and keep in touch through Boot Camp.  Take care!  Sherry
