OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Profile Information

A little about me:
Hi, I am a step mother of two daughters and the mother of a son and daughter, all who are now grown. I've been married to my husband for 28 years and he has been disabled 24 of those years. My family is dear to my heart and I love them unconditionally and would do anything for them if it's in my power to do so. I am a christian and believe that the Lord has a plan and purpose for everyone and everything in life.
Life may not be perfect, but it's what teaches us to be stronger and to know right from wrong.
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
In the NROTC program
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
The high school NJROTC program our daughter participated in for 4 years taught our daughter to be respectful, resourceful, strong, independant and a leader. She is currently a freshman midshipmen cadet in the NROTC program at S.S.U in Savannah, Georgia. The College NROTC program definately brings the dadets up to the next level, which is preparing our daughter for what her future will hold next, a Leader/Officer.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
