Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor,NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

What is your Sailor's (daughter's) rating (job/specialty) and/or where is she stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to.
What is your recruit's rating (job/specialty) or field going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

I missed the call, I was bummed, he called on my cell phone, but I was at the hospital with my grandmother, and couldn't get good reception, but he called the house, and he was able to talk to Mike (Stepfather) so at least he got a hold of one of us, good for your daughter she hung in there, I know you are a proud mom, as we all are. Hi stephanie, thank you for the invite, my son too is also, in the same Div as your daughter, I received his phone call today, I was so happy, today is his birthday, and I was a little sad, but when he called,that all changed, it became a happy happy birthday for him, and I was able to wish him a happy birthday! We are form California, do you know yet where the meet and greet is going to be held? Gina
