OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and change the Privacy Settings for this page from "Anyone" to "Members."

There may be other changes you need to make as well (change 4???), so read and consider each of the changes.

Check out Sailors in Naples, Italy. (NSA Gaeta) It's not very active, but if you post, then others may as well.

Hi Susan,

Thank you for the welcome! Atlanta? I love that area, I have lots of family in Marietta, love visiting whenever we can. We were able to get a letter from my son this week but it has been almost 2 weeks since his last phone call. I can't wait until PIR! Are you going to any of the meet and greets Thursday?
