OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Tracy,

I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!  I'm glad you found us.  Come join the chat in our group - there is usually someone on every day. We are a friendly, caring group of moms who have daughters in all stages of Navy life - from newbies to those whose daughters have been in for several years - from officer to enlisted!!! We support all our sailor girls and each other as well. Not just during the bootcamp days but the weeks and months following, as they go off to school, first duty station, or first deployment.  Let us support you when you're missing her, lend an ear when you need to vent, and celebrate with you when you want to brag!!  I've read some of your posts and I see you have already been on quite the roller coaster ride.  How is your daughter and is she still in A school?  What is she training for?  We look forward to getting to know you and your sailor!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. You may want to check out Mom’s of Navy Daughters, Mom's of Daughters 2, and Women in the Navy. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Hi Tracy!  Are you still planning to attend the Massachusetts Navy Moms' luncheon meet & greet on 8/31?  It starts at 11:30am at Johanna's.  The best way is to leave a comment on the Massachusetts page and send a friend request to Johanna.  She will get you directions & address.  If you don't hear back from her please contact me again. I won't have directions, but I can probably track down her addy and you can either use a Garmin or MapQuest.  Just let me know.
