Thank you so much for your help through this process. My daughter is coming home for medical reasons. She's in separations right now, which seems like jail. She says they're only allowed to go out to eat. She sounds so depressed. She finally received a few more of our letters, but not all of them. I also used Sandboxx.
Can't wait until she's home now. I'm more than a little disappointed in this process, and very concerned.

Thank you again,

Starrsmom

it will get to her quicker than the regular mail but once it gets to GL's it still has to have someone deliver the mail to her. I should have said that in there to.

Hey StarrsMom,

Oh no!! I am sorry to hear that she is having a rough time and sometimes I don't understand why the mail is slow in some areas and ok in others.

I pray that you hear from her soon and that she gets all of your letters. Had you received your form letter yet, is that where you got her address from.

Ok try the sandboxx that's where you sign up and you can send them letters it's a little faster than snail mail and it will get to her quicker. We only recommended that you use it during boot camp and that's it. This is due to OPSEC for security reasons. Just know that when using the sandboxx app it is not private so make sure when you are writing to her that others can read it. Hope all of this helps you and her.

Also have her talk to her Chaplin as well. They are a great help to our SR's out at boot camp.

Ah my niece is also a pediatric nurse and she loves it. What an emotional, rewarding, roller coaster emotions of a job. God bless you. Also, a shop steward that sounds interesting.

Let me know if you hear from your daughter and how she is doing?

Prayers for you and her and your family!!! Big hugs to you as well!!!

Welcome to NAVYforMoms.com!

We ask that our members not use a last name or email address in their Username - even if it differs from their Sailor's - so please head to “Settings” on the main page right away to set your new Username (be creative!) and add a profile image (no last names visible) to complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.

Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas.

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.

This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you.  We look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.

Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
