Hey, no problem with the name!  The recruits are known by their last names....so when you post your recruit's last name, it is a breach of security for the Navy.  Also..the RDCs (your recruit's bosses!) DO read this site...and they will comment to the recruits on comments made here . We don't want to make the recruits' journey harder...even if the RDCs are messing around with them.  We have to be very careful what info we post.  One lady in a past PIR group posted that her hubby said that RDC (named his name) is an idiot and he can't stand him...and another lady commented above hers that maybe when she met that RDC at PIR she needed to kick him in the you-know-whats!  UGH!  Thank goodness the creator of the group deleted those 2 comments immediately.  That could have cost not only that recruit a very rough time, but his whole division.  They stress teamwork in bc....if one screws up, all in the division may pay the price (IT - intensive training--for 2 hours!).  You just don't want your recruit identified with your posts by an RDC, no matter how tame the posts are!

I will be there and our sons are together! So I will be more than happy to do that for you. I will even mention in my next letter to my son about making sure we get him to us. Do you know if he is spending any time with another family? He is more than welcome to hang with us! You can private message me if you would like and we can discuss this more informally.

Hey!  You will need to delete you post because you gave your recruit's full name!  SORRY!  Big no no...Navy security...and beyond that, ties your posts to your son ...the RDCs read this site so we try to remain a bit anonymous !  HA!  I have a suggestion for you...please delete (click on the "x" by your post) and then repost your comment without your son's name.  Also, if there is a discussion group at the top of the main board for your son's division, please post your question in there (no name there either)---you can private message his name to the lady who can help---names in private messages on here are fine.  The ladies on previous groups have been wonderful in doing this for others who can't be there so I'm sure someone will do this! Good luck!  Sorry you are going to miss it...be sure that you recruit orders the PIR DVD for sure...$29.
