Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey there,

My son Graduated BC 12/17 I can tell you what I sent him . They don't have much space, and you really can't send them ''stuff''. If you didn't send a phone card with  her to BC do that and go ahead and activate it before you send it. I sent a photo album a very thin one from Walmart with like 14 photos in it. Pics of very important things or people he would love to look at during BC. Go ahead and write her and I say WRITE her . They really need the letters. I wrote every other day. I typed a lot of letters so it could be long and not take  up much space. Send funny cards not music ones though, they tend to get flack for those cards. I also cut newspaper clippings of  his favorited teams or things that he liked. This site will be great for you as you take this journey with your Daughter. Stay busy and it will be time to go to her Graduation before you know it. It is AMAZING you will love it. I was SOOO PROUD when they opened the big doors up and was crying before I saw my Son. Ask her when they start practicing for graduation where she is in the line up so you can see her when she comes in. Take a lint roller with you , their uniform catches lint like crazy. Best of luck to you and messege me if I can help you. Many Blessings to you and your Sailor.
