OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

When I told Kevin he said "they told us the 1st half would be the pictures in all the books but the second half would be about them" would have been nice to know that so I didn't try to find him so hard throughout the book. Lol My first clue was the ones marching in the snow then the grad in whites. Lol. But still a nice book. Some of those poor guys coming from the chamber looked miserable. Hope all is well with your sailor..

Hi! My daughter arrived for BC at Great Lakes on August 29th as well. One week down!  I too received 'the box' today. I put it in her room as she had requested before she left....even though I REALLY wanted to open it.

Call your recruiter on on friday or the next Monday. My son left on a Tuesday in August and that Friday I called his recruiter and he had his whole address. Good Luck
