SOOO SOOO happy for her! Someone had told me that she had passed....so great that you all got there and that she even marched! GOOD FOR HER! There was a mom in the 10/1 group....same situation as caty. He called on Mon to say --didn't pass run, no PIR---I told the mom that this may not be true and not to cancel plans yet. But she only had 36 hours to hold them because if she didn't cancel by then, she would lose money. She didn't hear from him....cancelled....and he called on Thurs morning to say he passed his run. So sad....he made it through BStaitons (I think!) but they weren't there. The other wonderful moms were going to take pictures of him for her. I don't know why the RDC's make them say "no PIR" except I think they use that as motivation. But meanwhile, some parents cancel and this happens. So glad that was NOT the case for Caty and you all! Good luck to her!

Ok, you are no longer on the site so I'm SO HOPING that means that she made her run yesterday, you got the call, she did BattleStaitons last night with 9/24, and that you are THERE for PIR. Please let me know about her! Hoping that you have a SAILOR!

If she runs and passes it today, she will go tonight with the PIR9/24 divisions through BattleStations. She will then be in the balcony for PIR...they don't allow them to march, from what I understand, because they have been up all night and are in no shape to stand as long as they would have to at PIR. It is really for her safety....don't want her collapsing on the floor of the hall...hauled off by a body snatcher! Are you going to hop on the plane if she calls and tells you that she passed her run this morning?

Posted a reply to your post this morning. I'm so sorry she is going through this. But she is not alone....I think the run is one of the most popular things to cause a problem....from the number of moms who have directly contacted me about this. Will she try the run again today and if she passes, possibly go with the 9/24 PIR group's BStations tonight? If so, she will be in the balcony for PIR tomorrow....no sleep....but still in uniform and a sailor. All but one of the recruits I was contacted about ended up making their run (on injured legs too), although some were asmoed back to the next PIR group before they made it. There is only one that I know of who was to graduate mid-August...she is still being held because she has not made it yet. But that is unusual. Hang in there....

Nice to meet you. My daughter is in Div 311. I only have gotten one phone call as well but I did hear from one of my daughters friends and she has called him so I know that she is calling other people too.
