Hi ladies,
While waiting for BC graduation, the best TV distraction is Downton Abby. Is anyone out there a fan? I would love to hear from you. I have been in love with the series and now own all three seasons. Just finished season 3 and it was well worth the wait. I find it to be a calm and wonderful distraction to pass the time until graduation day. Would love to hear from other fans.....

Good Morning Navy Moms,
I wanted to write another blog because writing helps me feel better. Why is it that the strangest things remind me of my son and how much I miss him. I went grocery shopping the other day and teared up at the peanut butter, my sons favorite. and while we are on the subject of food, I am making myself his breakfast every morning which is healthy by the way.…

Hi dcookie 27, so sorry your feeling ill. I was sick the first two weeks of January and it was horrible. One thing after another. Hope your feeling better soon! Saying a prayer for your daughters sugary and hoping it goes fine. With this storm he may get stuck at the hospital. Does not look - can't believe how much snow we are going to get. No letter from my son today, was hoping he might write but he told me since he called he may not and take the time to rest. He is not a writer...I was so hoping though! Sending my Valentines Day card tomorrow and think he will get it by the 14th. So wish I could order him chocolates or something and have them delivered, wouldn't that be awesome. He would be so embarrassed! Well, hang in there, prayers to your family!
@dcookie27 - how are you holding up? I am fine. I keep writing letters about every other day. Trying to keep busy! So wish I could hear my sons voice again. He is not a writer so I am hoping he writes home. Feel like now that we are into the 3rd week, we are feeling more comfortable and more knowledgeable about this boot camp adventure. I feel like I have learned so much from this website. Counting down the days until PIR. How is your daughter? Hope your well, Tammy
Hey dcookie27,

PIR: 3/22/2013 TG 19 - 11 Divisions (121-130 and 919)
Just click on the underlined link and click +JOIN when the group's page opens up. Good luck to your recruit. My son finished his commitment in March. He is now a civilian. You'll meet some fantastic people on this site. I am blessed with some many new found friends. Please thank you recruit for us. Good luck.
Fair winds and following seas.
I have not flown into Chicago, so I know nothing of the airports there. I know that some have found Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport to be cheaper and easier to navigate. Here is the website for that http://www.mitchellairport.com/. I notice you asked about shuttles. I would call Sarge and ask him how close you will be dropped off because if you are dropped off at the gate, that is about 100 yards from the gate to the Visitors Center. If you drive, you can park in the handicapped parking and there are wheelchairs available. Sarge can help with answers on that. His cell number is 847-212-0246.
Finally received my form letter. My daughter graduates on 29-Mar. So excited to hear from her. Just sent her a letter. Will send another one by the end of the week.
OH by the way, Bella is adorable! I love that she is sitting in the sink!
Hi again, looking at flights.....I think I will fly out 3/21 early in morning and back on Sunday. When do you come home? What flights did you book? Hoping the plan is still for my son, Nick, age 19, to stay at GL for A school and I can see him all weekend. If not, at least I could try to switch my plane ticket and fly home Sat. night without a fee. So hard to plan this way!
MMM, can't say I remember you but think my focus was on my son and the emotions. I was standing in front of the flags on left side of the podium, facing the recruits! If you ever want to meet up and grab a coffee, let me know. We are so close! I find it so much more comforting now that I have an address and can plan PIR!
