OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Yes. It looks like they are.I will pray for your son too. It was tough for me today. It was my first day with out any contact. It's a huge adjustment for sure. I miss my nagging her everyday lol.....she was my clown. This house is so darn quite without her. Like you, I'm waiting for her to come through the front door and say "Woman, I'm hungry" .. Glad were in touch:)

Hello, I am into week four with my soon-to-be-sailor. So I know exactly where you are. It is hard, I'm not gonna lie. The waiting is rough. I never received the "I'm here" phone call, but most do. And I missed a phone call a few days ago. But I'm getting letters now. The questionare is something fun to print and send to your recruit with various multiple choice questions about BC. My son just returned his, and honestly I thought he would find it corny and not return it. But he did, and even wrote in some of his own answers. LOL. My advice, start writing letters now, while you are waiting, it will help pass some time while you wait to hear from them. And feel free to post on N4M, or just check in and read posts daily, it helps to know you have others going through this with you. Take care. (I will locate for the link for the questionare and post here for you.)
