Yes, if you didn't know my height, you'd think I was a little bitty thing, wouldn't you?  I've posted three more pics to my page, but they're still "awaiting approval."  You should be able to see them in a day or two.  I had a great time yesterday, too.  So many unfinished stories!  We'll have to do it again soon.

Hi Jill -

You're my first contact with Navy Moms.  My son left for bootcamp June 14 and should graduate this Friday, Aug 5, in Chicago.  We are concerned because he has had some health concerns - even hospitalized and surgery...(in addition to having his wisdom teeth removed).  I am wondering if he is going to be on schedule to graduate.  We haven't heard from him since last week - in a letter.  He's had a rough go - but prior to this he's never been sick a day.  He's strong, but I'm getting weaker by the day.  We make sure some one is home at all times- in case he gets to call. He's going to be a corpsman. H'es ahs always wanted to be a doctor. I'll feel better when we hear whether he's on for grad or not.  We're driving to Chicago and I'd like to finalize the plans.

Thanks again for your initial contact,

Rhonda

Hello Jill,

Thanks for adding me as a friend.  This is all so new to me.  MY son is in his first week at boot camp.  He will be a Navy Nuke.

I see by reading other comments that some of them are getting calls after 2 weeks- do you know how or why just certain ones get to call home? Thanks you

I got the call when my son got to IL telling me he arrived safely, but haven't heard anything from him since. It's very disheartening to have him leave and.. no nothing! I'm trying to be patient but I just want to know how he is doing. So you have received a phone call from your son since he's been there?

Thanks Jill! Great to know that there's so many Navy Moms nearby!  My daughter will  be coming home in June or July.  I wish I had found this site earlier!  I'm gonna have to get hold of my daughter's recruiter the next time I'm at Hanes Mall. He should have told me there were sites like this!
