Hi Juanita,  Yea for Mike!!   that is great!!  so..did he get to come home at ALL before he went to Conneticut?  is he still going to be on the sub?    well, the grad went well..but going to the airport that night to spend more time with him was a nightmare!  they had record flooding!! so..we never made it there! and Matt was delayed (and all the other sailors too) for 2 more days!! anyway,  he is at training in Pensacola!  he's SUPPOSED to start the school this Thursday...then in 2 weeks MAY get to come home for a few days...then on to California.  Is Mike happy about his decision so far? does he sound happy?   Matt does most of the time..but some days he sounds frustrated and a little agitated.  I guess the reality of "REAL LIFE"  and working, paying bills, (which really hasnt started..yet)  and him realizing..no more sleeping till noon, playing games, chillin with friends, girlfriend   and all that  stuff......is over!!  its kinda sad..but we all had to(or have to ) grow up.   take care and keep me posted!!    carol

Oh my goodness!!!  In one of Richard's letter he told me that he sat next to SR Cardoza at chapel service during their first holiday routine. They discussed scripture together and commented to each other that the scriptures they were reading during that service didn't make sense. Richard said that he really know his stuff and he wanted to get to know him better. He said that your son joined the Navy so he could spread the Gospel around the world. How beautiful is that!?!  My biggest prayer when Richard joined was that he would meet and develop healthy relationship with other Christians.  Thank God!!

Hi JJuarez, when my SR called me, he told me that Sundays they receive letters and send letters. Last Friday his Division got to call home.  My SR bought a calling card, but any way I sent him one in case he could not buy one and stamps for him to write me back. You will get your phone call soon. I am so happy that will be meet each other in Great Lakes.  On July 14, 2011 will be a Meet and Greet PIR at Ramada Waukegan Gurnee from 6:00pm -8:00pm. 4 miles from the base is a complimentary for Navy families. My family and I planning to attend.  I hope to see you there.  In what hotel are you staying?  Because I already made reservation at Navy Lodge.  Let me know or check all the hotels from the panphlet that we got from the first letter from the NAVY.
