OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Don't forget to make change 3.

Thanks for the dates.  But the BS date is not correct. They don't go out of order like that (i.e., 067-070 have to go first and their dates are after the date you gave me).  So move that date back a couple of days or maybe even 3 days.  Thanks!

Will he get the weekend liberty or just Friday? He will have daytime Liberty each day of the weekend.

will he get his phone back for school? He can have his cell phone once he has checked in across the street.

Will he get any visiting times during his A school? He has training, not "A" School, at GL. He will be able to tell you if you can visit him when he is not on duty or in class.

See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Since your SR has contracted within the PACT program, the information within Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks (PACT) Program will be of interest to you.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Make change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Hi, do you have a recruit in BC or a Sailor in the Fleet?

You may want to join Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors.
