OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi Laura, I want to make sure you know about our Meet and Greet in Petaluma 1/29/12, early afternoon. We're still firming up the final details. Hope you can come!

Hi Laura,

I am down the Peninsula in Santa Clara County but I do go to meet and greets all over. There are a number of people in North of the Marin. On the front of the SF group, I have a tentative schedule of our meet and greets. Please don't hesitate to meet up with the local members. Just post a note and ask if anyone would like to meet informally for coffee, lunch, whatever.  Just keep in mind with the holidays coming up, you'll won't get as much response as after the New Year.

Welcome to our little group. Please don't hesitate to holler if you need anything.

Hi  Laura,

I have only been here for a few months but yes, there are meet and greets.  I have been to 2 and were great fun.  My son is in Japan.  I am in Santa Rosa.  Where are you?  Rose

Click on this and click +JOIN. Check out the directory for North of SF - many members in Santa Rosa, Petaluma etc. Please join this group as soon as you can. I am creator and admin but I won't always be able to notify you by personal message (just me to you) about upcoming events. If you are not in the group, you won't be getting the group email from other members of the group.  Great to have you with us.

This is your personal page - look at it as you landing page. You can go from here to your groups, discussions, blogs (on left underneath your photo). The SIGN IN/SIGN OUT box is there for you to see if you have messages (INBOX), friend requests (FRIENDS) or you can go to settings to change your username, email address, etc.
