Profile Information

A little about me:
I am the proud mother of a son who graduated RTC, Great Lakes on March 19, 2010. I am now officially the mother of a Sailor and PIR was awesome! I am married and have a younger son, who is currently a junior in HS. I enjoy reading, gardening and watching movies. Love having BBQ's in the summer and hanging out with my family.
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was concerned or afraid
The Navy offers opportunities that...
To learn and trust my son's judgement. This is what he wanted and although at first I wasn't thrilled, I do believe it was the right direction for him to take. I have noticed through his letters a difference in his maturity and his appreciation for his family. Not to say he didn't appreciate us before, but you know teenagers....I just feel he has a different understanding now, then before he joined the Navy.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Yeah, Im a bit bummed too b/c I know Cali has pretty mellow weather and we are leaving AZ right before monsoon season. I'm right there w/Kyle, and storms are my fav. Soon enough we'll be in Wash though, and we'll get all the rain we can stand! lol. At least kyle doesnt have to deal w/the humidity of Texas and he's got relatively dry heat.

And yes! I'm SO excited that Mario and I are going to be together soon!!!! 6 more days!!!!! WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I totally understand what you mean about reunions being all the sweeter when your loved one is away. You just learn to appreciate them that much more!

youre welcome hon! That's great that kyle is doing so well! I bet you're so proud of him. Really good that he's making friends too. That really helps ease the pain of being away from home. Mario finally got his orders! Whidbey Island, WA!!!! We are so excited! He is supposed to go from FL to Lemoore, CA till september though, and then on to Whidbey. So I am going to move with him to California for those few months. I refuse to be apart any more. lol. Hope everythings well w/you...

hopefully kyle will enjoy it out in the fleet! San Diego is gorgeous also so that should make things easier, lol. Mario picks his orders tomorrow actually, and I leave to see him one last time in FL on thurs! lol

I'm glad your PIR experience was amazing! Thats so awesome that Kyle is already done w/his A-school! Hopefully, he got to go home to visit like he had planned! So where did he end up getting stationed?

Yeah, I have been to see Mario every other weekend since PIR. lol. very spendy. but we cant help it. we loathe being apart! lol. hopefully he will get land based duty when he gets his orders! Mario should be done w/his classes on 5/28! But, he still hasn't gotten his orders yet b/c of the flooding in tennessee.
