OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Posted on January 8, 2011 at 7:20am 4 Comments

My son graduates Feb.11 - he would like us to stay for a week 1/2 to 2 weeks..any suggestions on an economical stay - maybe w/a small kitchenette? Trying to watch budget, needs to be safe as it would be for mom, girlfriend and girl cousin.

Missing Him Dearly, But Supporting Him From Home

Posted on December 27, 2010 at 2:27pm 3 Comments

My son left Dec. 8, 2010 to bc (Great Lakes)...and we miss him dearly - We did not get to speak to him during the holidays, but we know he's doing great!  Is there any one who's husband, son, brother or friend in Ship 4 Div 804???

Graduating 2/11/11?  Have you heard any news I did receive one letter from my Son,but have not heard from him since.  He said he could only write on Sundays.  Free time 7-1300 hrs.... can anyone confirm that they get daily mail??? Thanks, and hope all of you…
