A little about me:
Well its official my son joined the Navy he dosen't leave for bootcamp til Nov. 2011! He will be in Aviation Electronics (this makes me a little nervous because when 1/2 the family was pushing for him to join the AF he said he didn't want anything to do w/airplanes) any info on this career path would be great!
I know this isn't much, however I am sure after I have looked through this site a little more I will post more.
I am here to support my

Your tree sounds amazing.  I am going to Hobby Lobby to see if they have any more navy ornaments. Did you get the Navy Nutcrackers at Target. If your target store is out of them, you can get them online at target.com. They have 2011 year on them to always remember their bootcamp year. If you go to target they aren't by the xmas stuff they are on an end cap by housewares.

I've seen several say their SR's were going to Pensacola.  But so far, no one for Mississippi.  David will be lonely! lol

My Brother was stationed in Pensacola, back in the 60's.  That was where he met and married his wife (52 years and still counting!).  I was 9 years old when we traveled by car from California to Florida to see him get married.  All I remember was the beautiful WHITE sandy beaches.  Not like the sticky grey sand we were use to in So Cal.

Will you visit him there?  I am already planning on going to Mississippi over Spring Break.  It's much closer to us than Great Lakes.  That is if they get free time and can leave the base.  I think they do?
