Lizzie is an officer with the high school FFA and with school starting our schedule is filling up fast. Tonight we are helping grill pork chops for a fund raiser at our first football game. She is putting on a good face and staying busy but she feels the lose of the big brother that always had his nose in her life. I am adjusting better than I had thought I would but still have my moments. Looking forward to when we will be getting some contact with him. Just need to hear his voice and know that all though this is hard he is doing fine,
Hi, Monticello is not very far from Waverly at all. My husband, yes that is him in my picture, went to Illinios College in Jacksonville and is familiar with that part of Illinois. I got goosebumps when you told me your sons birthday, my son will turn 20 on Aug 26. Wonder if they do anything special for birthdays for the boys? How old is your daughter? My daughter is 16 and a Jr. in highschool. She keeps me on my toes.
Thank you so much for your kindness. Talked to Chas the other day and he did get an eligible reenlistment code, so we will see when he gets home how he feels and what he wants. I am sure this all happened for a reason. My mom and I have really met some awesome people here. Thanks about the shirts, they were super easy to make. We just couldn't find what we wanted online, decided to make em. They were cheaper too.
That's too cool. We must meet and have lunch or dinner sometime soon.
Lauren
Hi, yes, me, my husband, daughter, my son's friends were all at the game and two of the swearing in ceremonies. Very bittersweet, but I am so proud of Danny. Danny just turned 19 on August 4th, the day of his party. I know Waverly is nearby, but do you know how far from Taylorville?
Part of Cardinal Company? There is a group Cardinal Company 2012. Join us. It's so good to go through this with others.
I saw your question on the bootcamp moms wall.
My son left on August 2nd, I got his box on the 7th and his form letter on the 9th so expect yours tomorrow or Thursday!! :)
Congratulations! :)
Hugs,
Jane
