OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

shuga, now is the time to write your daughter a very encouraging letter. Tell her that she can and will pass. Most SR who have trouble with the prone floating part are scared they will sink. Remind your daughter that everything will be ok and she will not drown. There are trained Navy swimmers and divers there to help her. Just be very positive.

Hi shuqa, Welcome to the Navy family. I see you only have 18 more days till PIR. Time is going to go by so fast now. Soon you will be sitting there in the PIR hall waiting for your Sailor to march in. Make sure you bring a box of tissues with you, LoL  You are going to need them.
