Ohh. Well my boyfriend seems to think that this homecoming isn't going to be a big deal, but this is only his second fairly long one. The back gate is where we went last time. It just gets really really packed. And it's about a mile and a half walk to the pier. If you do plan on going on the gates, I'd say get there earlier. We were there at 730am last Novemeber, and the ship didn't get in until 1pm but there was so many people and they had shuttles and stuff to take you back to the cars.

Hey there.
I don't know much about homecoming this time around! I heard rumors of a different date, in the late evening. But are we going to be able to get on base like November without stickers? I read that you put something about the back lot. That's where we were last time. I just want to be able to walk up to the pier like before. I don't really know how to see everything that I should probably know, so please let me know if you have times or any of that other good stuff.
Thank you!

That's pretty neat that your friends bf made it on the Reagan too. A guy we went to high school with is also out in San Diego but he's on the Vinson. It turns into a small world sometimes. I'm coming back the 7th or 8th. I'm going to make the drive straight through and get home at pretty much the last minture to get everything ready for them to be back. If i got there any sooner, I might go crazy waiting on them!

Oh, yeah. I know where those are, we were going to look at those apartments. I work at a collection agency on Camino del Rio S. I wasn't ready to sit there alone for this one! Our roommate is out too. I can't wait to be back!

Yeah, we live in Aquatera apartments over by Ralph's. It's so hard meeting people. There is only one other couple that we are friends with. The rest of the time, I'm stuck with Steven and the Navy boys. The only girls I've really met out in San Diego are ones that I work with. I've been out there since November of last year. Right now, I'm spending the RimPac time back in Kansas City, MO. Only a few more weeks though!

Welcome to N4M. Your key to adjusting is finding a group (or groups) where you can feel comfortable and get answers to your questions – Click on the underlined links:
1. New Moms Stop Here group. You should think of this group as your orientation station.
2. Depper’s… in but not yet . is a group for those just waiting for bootcamp to start (Delayed Entry Program – a depper)
3. Boot Camp Moms group. Just about to go into Bootcamp? or already in?
4. OCS Graduate Moms or the NROTC Moms. For those going to be an officer or going to NROTC?

Check your page (click on MY PAGE) & status box (INBOX, FRIENDS, SETTINGS) often. If you don't you'll never find out what messages your new N4M friends have left

Best of luck, BunkerBee and AbbyblueOK (from the New Moms Stop Here Group)
