OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I got a call today from my son, did you get a call too?  He sounded very tired but was still glad he had chosen to go into the Navy

Just stopping in for a quick check up..LOL. Have you received any word from you SR? I received 1st letter on Dec. 7th. As expected she was a little down & was hard to read at times. Although I have to say it brought a smile to my face to know she still has her sense of humor. She said the food is good & funny thing about the letter was she included the time limits placed on everything. Its funny because she was use to taking like 20 min showers which are now 5 min. showers...LOL. So, getting letter made this past week a little easier. Now just waiting on that 1st phone call...Can't wait. Have you made your reservations yet? We made ours Dec. 5th @ Homewood Suites. Looks like a pretty good hotel & we'll have a king suite so should be comfortable. Looking forward to going to Sarge's Meet & Greet (just hoping we'll arrive in time to go). We are most likely driving..haven't got that issue solved yet..LOL. Anyways, feel free to message/comment me anytime. TTYL!
