I see you have joined Ship 5 Moms(Formerly Ship 17). http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ship5/index.asp and FAQ%20about%20SEPS.doc will have additional information for you. If your SR really wants to stay, then it is up to him to prove it and to fight for it.
Yes, exciting times. I have been reading a few comments about SR that are having troubles and hoping that mine will not be one of them. My SR sprained his ankle almost a year ago and I am hoping that it will not bother him while he is there. We are staying at the Red Roof Inn and will get into Chicago about 2:30 on the 30th and then drive to GL. I am hoping that we can go to Sarges Meet and Greet, but not sure yet what my husband will want to do. We are leaving on Sunday morning to see our daughter. Our SR will be going to So. Carolina for Nuke so will probably leave sometime on Saturday. Lots going on at that time.
Glad to have a friend that has a son on the same ship as mine. We are in Alaska so it seemed extra long to get the letter. Sent a letter off to him today with a fun questionnaire. Purchased tickets last night to attend the PIR and then travel to see our daughter and family on base in Louisiana. New granddaughter due May 24th. an exciting trip it will be. Have a good day.
Hi sunny2372. No, my son did not write anything extra. I was looking forward to that. but maybe he did not have much time. his writing on the letter where he filled in information was slightly messy. Again, maybe he was rushed. But I am soooo glad to have the letter!!
You are funny!!....About the mailman!!
I am so relieved right!! I finished my taxes!! Woo Hoo!!
wow, good information sunny2372. thanks. it's good to remember that the PIR date could change!
Hi sunny2372, well another day without the form letter, but I'm sure ours is on the way right? I am guessing that my son's PIR is 5/31/13. I hope I'm right 'cause I've already made hotel reservations! Do you think your son's PIR will be 5/31/13 or 6/7/13? I want to know my son's ship/div !! I am reading about all these ships/divisions!!
