OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome, Surface Enlisted Spouses!

Profile Information

A little about me:
Social Group for Spouses, wives and Moms of Sailors.
I am here to support my
Spouse/Significant other
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
I too am part of the Navy Family
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Who we are

We are a social group of spouses who gather to learn from each other how to navigate the home front. Our Sailors are called away from home more now than ever before. We are all in this together. We have reconnected old friends, made new friends and provided the much needed support to many more.
We DO NOT harvest email addresses for distribution of spam. In order to be a part of SES you must send a request to us.

We are a group of Navy spouses who have always believed that being the spouse of a sailor makes us unique. They transfer, we move. They have to learn where their new berthing is, meet a new CO, XO, CMC; we have to learn our way to the Dr’s office, the school and the commissary(if there is one nearby). They meet new shipmates and us… well; what do we do? We get on the computer and try to keep up with our friends at our last command. We don’t know anyone, we figure out that if we follow the children being escorted to school by Moms and Dads between 7:30 and 8 am we may be able to strike up a conversation with the neighbor so we can know somebody/anybody in the new place we now call “home”. Surface Enlisted Spouses (SES) could connect you with someone experiencing the very same thing. Maybe they don’t have children or looking for a workout/walking partner. Maybe they have some “helpful hints” to navigating this new place.

We are Navy Spouses wanting to know more about how we can support our sailor, each other and make our Navy family better. Again, we are not connected to any Command, we don’t care about what rank your sailor is, we don’t worry about what neighborhood you live in, there is no membership dues, only a willingness to make new friends. This is an innovative group and is home ported in San Diego, we are also looking for Chapter Team leaders in other areas.

We have reconnected former neighbors with old friends, teachers with former students and parents. Built new friendships, mentored those that are new to Navy life, cheered successes and shared deployments. We have danced, laughed and updated our status. We are SES and we want to meet you. We were established to strengthen our Navy Spouses to meet the unique challenges of the military lifestyle in the surface community of the Navy by entertaining, empowering, educating and encouraging all spouses through positive mentorship.

Thank you for welcoming us to N4M's. We are honored to be here and are proud of every single one of you and your Sailors. Bearing the cloth of our Nation is only done by few. Being the wife and/or parent is one of the most fulfilling things our hearts ever experience.
Some of our members are Spouses and Moms of active duty service members. These are the Moms you want to talk to. If they don't get it who does?
Find us on Face book; tell us about you and your journey in the Navy.
We look forward to meeting each of you.
Our email address is SurfaceEnlistedSpouses@yahoo.com
