OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
I am a single mother of two girls; one age 19 and one age 10. I am so proud of my daughter who just finished boot camp Oct. 1st. She is now in Pensacola getting geared up for A-school. She LOVES it! My daughter told me when she was 12 she wanted to join and I told her that would be a wonderful idea! She has always been a strong, very smart individual and it was no surprise that she went through with her choice and joined in December of 2009.
I hope that she makes a life- long career of the Navy! Every time we talk she has new stories of her duties and how much she enjoys just being there on base. I have not hear one complaint at all! If fact she told us how boot camp isn’t bad at all….she enjoyed it- she was able to experience things there that she would have never been able to do!
I Love that I am now a Navy Mom! And can’t wait for all the new experience’s we will share with my daughter!
I am here to support my
