OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Hi, I do not know where my son is going to A school yet. I think it is Great Lakes so he will not have to leave. But not 100% for sure. I did receive a letter yesterday but he didn't mention A school. Where is your son going?

He is either doing computer electronics or fire control. Honestly, I will have to read his papers to get the tight title :). What about your son?

You may know by now that Division 313 is on Ship 13.   Know that Divisions 313 and 314 are brother dvisions and train together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.

My son's father got the call thursday eve, very late. Very basic he said "Yes i'm here safe and love you all. ... We got the box yesterday but no paperwork inside reguarding address or assignment. Perplexing we got his cell phone shipped home.. I'm not sure if they all had to or it was his choice.. Feeling a little anxious today about getting more information. But we are writing letters to keep us busy untill we hear from him and can send the letters.
