I am happy for you, your daughter may receive your first letter this Sunday, that's the only day when they get to get their mail. Hoping I'll get the form letter tomorrow since I'm more in Northern part, still to late for Sunday, since I don't have address, I'll let you know. It's been one week, it seems to me much longer since I let my baby go, but it's a countdown. Take care.

Hi Tonya, same here I received Lora's box about same time today, her tennis shoes and clothes off her back, it was hard. I was not able to get her address via recruiter, I guess I'll have to wait. Did you find that discharge paperwork in the box and confirmation of enlistment in the box with names of all kids shipped that day in box. I guess one of names is your daughters.

Yes you are wright, my conversation with Lora was about the same as yours with your daughter.  It was really hard. I do remember her saying something, getting her box in 3 weeks. I found from this site that their first letter to us will be like a form with only few sentences from them on the back of a letter. Thanks for the info, called her recruiter today, they will try to get the address today, said they will see what they can do. They will receive letters on Sundays, as well as write them to us. Thanks for the link., go to main site on videos "Navy Racks-Boot Camp" video is great, gave me insight how is they life there now. I am little better, but my eyes are never dry. Keep thinking, will she be strong enough to endure it all, did I gave her enough tools, could I have prepare her better. Still sounded like her spirit was up on that phone call. On day of her shipping, sailor which graduated boot camp last year said it gets really loud in there, lots of yelling until 3:00 am, getting up 5:00 a.m., but gets easier after 2 weeks as soon they start learning how to work  as a team. Their day off is Sunday with choice of going to church, mainly to get social and share,  or long showers in barracks.  She said 12-14 girls group showers at once about few minutes , something they will have to get used to, that' about all I know for now.
