I see you have changed your Username, you may also need to change the URL to this page. If you do, make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web. There may be other changes you need to make as well (such as change 4 if your Sailor is pictured in your profile picture), so read and consider each of the changes. Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your Sailor.

You may also want to join CARRIER Families!. This fB page may be of interest as well, https://www.facebook.com/USSTheodoreRoosevelt. The home port will shift to San Diego at the end of the current deployment and you will want to join San Diego Moms or Sailors in San Diego, San Diego Moms/SOs, Lemoore NAS California Moms, and/or Sailors Stationed in California at that time if your Sailor is staying with the TR.

If your Sailor changes to the GW instead, join USS George Washington Sailors, CARRIER Families!, Duty Station NAS Oceana, VA Beach VA, and/or Norfolk Sailors - Family & Friends.

Hi there!

I do have a facebook account, however, I shut it down because I don't know how to say "NO" to Farmville! (I am not my addiction.. lol!!)  I'll reactivate it...I've sorta honed in and taken over my husbands facebook anyway. : - ))

Hi Soccer Mom,

Yes, I'm going to PIR and can't wait!!!  I'm bringing my kids with me - we made reservations at the Homewood Suites. We booked a two bedroom suite - it was the only way to fit all of us!!  (LOL!)

I don't know which is more unbelievable - the part where we leave in two weeks to watch Melissa graduate, or the part where she's actually been gone for nine weeks.  The time felt like it just dragged, at first, and now it's time to head out to Great Lakes.

When Melissa left for BC, she was wanting to get into IT, but now she's trying to get into Nursing.  She will be going to Pensacola for A-School and in her last letter informed me that she will be gone for 22 weeks instead of the 14 she was originally suppose to be gone for.   Ahhh....the day in the life of a mom of a Sailor!!

I'm just SO proud of her!!!  I wonder if Melissa and Christine know each other?  It would be fun if they did.  I hope I get the chance to meet you at PIR.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is getting to you, but I hope so!  (I'm new at this website..still trying to find my way around.)  I have a daughter who is also in Ship 12, Div. 347.  Her name is Melissa.  Her PIR is Oct. 26th and I can't wait!  I didn't think it was possible to miss her so much.   How are you holding up?

Hi Soccer Mom, glad to see someone else with a child in the same division. Good luck to your daughter and know that I've been praying for their group.
