Our Blessings

Counting our blessings! Our Sailor is safe, our family is safe, we have our health and able to see another day! I sent all of his electronics (value $2500.00) last night FedEx overnght costing a total chunk of $177.15...when I got home I realized I left out 1 number which means I addressed the package wrong...worried all day and at 3:34 he called to say he hadn't received his box, I was at the grocery store when he called. I didn't have the heart to tell him about my screw up the address...so I… Continue

Chnages..changes

We have had a couple of change in plans..My Grandmother informed me last night that she wasn't going to attend PIR (our Sailor will be disappointed), but I don't think I will let him know until after BS21 or just show up at the PIR w/o her. I don't want to give him any news that will disappoint or upset him. I kind of knew this would happened but he insisted on reserving a ticket for her!!! Am I wrong, for not letting him know in advance? :-(

Dear RJ...Friday was pretty rough...I couldn't pull myself out of bed to go to work! So I stayed home and spent the day thinking about you. They say it will get easier once I get your box...but I recall you saying you were donating everything..so I may not get a box! :'-( Your dad & I know you are not much of a verbal communicator and writer so we can't wait to get our first letter from you. It's really rough with you leaving and Dad working out of town during the week...and your big sister… Continue

Waiting

He left last night...I cried & cleaned his room, flipped his mattress, washed his linen, dusted and even organized his shoes....my eyes keep filling with tears everytime I think about him...I can hear his deep voice as he drags out Momma....I am waiting patiently for my first call...everyone keeps telling me it will be such a quick call I won't remember what he said...I'm still waiting patiently!
