THE box

I got Brooklyn's box containing all over her belongs today. It wasn't as hard as I thought because I knew it would be coming and I have had time to prepare myself - I also have been extremely busy so I haven't had time to think about it too much! I even laughed a little because she just stuffed everything in not bothering to fold her clothes!! (Very typical:) Then I was a little sad because I wanted to call her and give her a hard time for just stuffing everything in and realized that I… Continue

Brooklyn swore in and I cried during that part. I was so proud of her yet sad to be loosing my baby. After that I did ok. Only about lost it a couple times but I am keeping pretty busy.

It really just doesn't seem real. It is like she is off to camp or something. I know that next week…

And she is off....

I just took Brooklyn to the shuttle that will take her to get her medical stuff done and she will swear in and leave for boot camp tomorrow. Right now I am feeling ok as I will see her tomorrow when she swears in.

I am so proud of Brooklyn and her choice to join the Navy. She has a good head on her shoulders and I know that she will do well. I know that she has a strong faith that will be an encouragement to her during these next 2 months especially.

She has grown up so… Continue
