Been a while since I have posted on here but I am always reading the blogs lol. Life, family situations has kept me busy not to mention spending some time with my son before he leaves for Japan. He will be gone for 2 years - which seems like an eternity! lol  

I am very happy for him in that he is getting to explore the world and pursue a better life for himself, but yet sad that he will be so far away......all I can say is thank God for Skype, email and lots of phone calls!…

I found out my son will be stationed at Okinawa, Japan with him leaving next year. Excited and nervous comes to mind when I think of him leaving to go so far away. I am gonna have to join Japan Moms so I can get some help understanding the area and such.....

I didn't realize how much prep he has to do to go! WOW 

My son text me early this morning and said that his orders he picked for Japan came through. I am so very happy for him!! I don't know if he will be on ship or land as of yet as he said he would call me later in the day to tell me everything. I know he really wanted to get on a ship so I hope that is what he got. Yeah!! What an experience on PIR day!!

It was so amazing and so breath taking for me. To see my son proudly marching in with his division wearing his dress whites. OMG- tears were flowing from my eyes as I proudly watched him and his division stand with pride. After the ceremony was over, we raced down to the floor to see him, and the tears were flowing from my family eyes as well as my new sailor's eyes!! As of today, only 5 days to go to see my son in his sailor uniform!! WOW! I can't wait. Working today (Saturday) and Monday and then we hit the road Tuesday for Great Lakes. Myself, boyfriend, daughter, and mother are making the long drive up from NC to see this wonderful event. How lucky am I? My son called me again for the second time today and told me that now he will be in Ship 11 Div 298 and set to graduate on Sept. 2.

My son called me today at work with his good news--he is feeling better and they gonna put him another division so he can finish out his last two weeks of boot camp!!! God answered my prayers!!

I was so thrilled to hear from him after worrying the last week. He said it is so good to be back moving around. He is still on light duty thru the weekend, but they should move him to another division Monday. YEAH!!! He said he wasnt sure he would get back on his feet so quick--but he…

Its been a week since I got that phone call late at night saying my son was sick and taken out of his division. And yet I havent had a call since then to let me know how he is doing. The frustration of not knowing is driving me crazy. "No news is good news" ---yeah right. I just want to know how is really doing, but what can I do but sit and wait for the promised phone call that he is suppose to get once a week until his able to rejoin BC. So I wait.........

The good news is…

My son has been real sick since last Thursday. I have only gotten 1 quick phone call to let me know that he was taken out of his division because he is so sick. It was a "rehearsed" military paragraph that was not appealing to any mother, but yet understood of the requirements. I was told that I would get one phone call a week until he is able to rejoin another division to finish his BC. It has been very hard to wonder what is going on with him and not to be able to talk with him while he is…

I am missing my son like crazy!! Haven't gotten a letter from him in a week and a half now-I am starting to worry. I know hell week is upon us and I am wondering how he and his division is doing. Hope to hear from him soon-
