Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

ANOTHER LETTER Ship 14 Div 270

Another letter today and there is like 23 days left pir 8/6. Bridgette had her wisdom teeth pulled and now has swollen tonsils but no time off for the tonsils. She said that she is getting barely any sleep now it will have been a month 15th june was when she got to b/c. Been measured up for uniforms but dress white have to be special ordered i guess cos of her longgggggg legs! lol Her letter was short she said because of ironing and she wanted to get some extra…

Driving from las vegas to ramada great lakes.

Im going through green river utah, denver colorado, lincoln nebraska, des moines iowa to great lakes anyone familiar with places on route can help recommend a place to stay, and if there is any places i should not go through i understand parts of route will be endless and nothing to see any tips whats the local police like do they pick on out of towners plates like they do in…

I would like to know is there a lot of parents that do not go to graduation mainly because of finances! I am looking at many different ways to get from Nevada to Great Lakes but everyway is expensive…

I would like to know is there a lot of parents that do not go to graduation mainly because of finances! I am looking at many different ways to get from Nevada to Great Lakes but everyway is expensive and i have narrowed it down to two one is driving 1900 miles or going by greyhound bus which is by far the cheapest and within our budget but is it a safe way? PIR 8/6/10 SHIP 14 DIV 270

Daughter Bridgette just sent 2 letters and she said that it was so good to get so much mail it is very important and i have read this many times on this site but she also said that a lot of the other girls "are bummed" because they are not getting many letters I write everyday at least once sometimes 2 times and all her friends and our family are also writing!

And she also said that "Boot Camp is becoming a little fun - well somethings" wow…

BRIDGETTE SHIP 14 USS ARIZONA DIV 270 PIR 8/6/10

Just got the first phone call today after 20days of her getting there, she sounded so positive and much happier! Wants lots more letters which i am doing at least 2 a day! even from the cats and dog, lol but she will appreciate those ones, she was picked to be a dental yeoman, she is a great kid with a great personality and likes everyone and everyone likes her!! Not long to graduation !! We are all so proud of her!! Especially me! Next is son 16 and wants to join…

Bridgette

My daughter is on Ship 14, Div 270 and i just got letter from her she is in her third week and PIR is 6th August. She said now on sundays they can take a shower for as long as they like and "shave" lol she has to clean boots and iron uniform and can write letters . She is feeling much better still homesick, expected, and she passed her swim test said it was a piece of cake! the running PRACTICE she did not but says she is not worried as this one is actually to see…
