DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

To All The Navy Dads.

Alright, we know we're on the Navy for Mom's website, and we share stories of our sailors and what they do in the Navy and how proud we are of them. With Fathers Day this Sunday I just want to know that as a wife and a mom I wouldn't have the fine young men that I have the prevlidge of calling my sons.

My sailor son wanted to join the Navy when he was eight years old and watched "Top Gun", I know my son isn't the only one who was influenced by that movie, but God had it in…

So here it is, two days before Thanksgiving. It's lovely weather here in Nor Cal, chilly, clear nights, bright sunshine days. My mom decided to have Thanksgiving at her house this year, I offered to help her cook and she said she has everything taken care of but if she needs me she'll call. So I should be estatic about not having to cook and all that. Well I am, not that I mind doing all the cooking and everything that goes with Thanksgiving, I enjoy it very much. But, I'm also sad because my… Continue

09/25/09 PIR Weekend (Ship 06/Div 945)

Wow, what a weekend! The redeye flight was packed, it was harder to sleep on the plane from Sacramento to Houston because we were so excited about going. The flight from Houston to Milwaukee was good, got a good nap on that flight. Due to construction on the highways, we got lost (Cal says we were just diverted) for about 15 minutes getting out of Milwaukee, but got to Waukegan with no trouble, checked into the hotel early, which was nice, and got in a little nap after settling… Continue
