My son left July 02 and I never knew I would miss him as much. The waiting is what I don't like. We got a call from him for like 3 seconds just to hear him say he is ok. Well this is a long waiting process. I wish him all the success in the world through boot camp....
hang in there and join some groups if you haven't..
My son is still in DEP but I will soon be in your shoes. He is not home much so I don't get to spend much time with him now but I figure when he is at boot camp at least I will know where he is lol. All the experienced moms on here say it is so much better ag=fter boot camp when you can talk/text or skype regularly :)
My son also left July 02. I find myself waiting for Thursdays cuz that's when I have gotten a letter for the last 2 weeks. Hoping tomorrow will make letter number 3. I didn't get the call when he arrived nor the call he was allowed to make about a week ago because he called his girlfriend instead. Which was fine but you're right the waiting is bad. Can't wait to see him on 08/31 and meet my son the sailor!!!
Yes I am looking forward to 08/31 as well to see my son. He is in Great Lakes, IL. The last letter I recieved was last week so hopefully I get one tomorrow..I go to the mailbox everyday hoping to get a letter from him. Thanks for all of the comments and I will join more groups...
is your son on ship 09, div 275 also?
I am not sure I would have to look at the envelope he sent me. Well yesterday was not so good for me. I went to the mailbox hoping to get a letter because in the past they have been coming on Thursday but to my dismay there was not a letter in the mailbox from him. Very sad mom hope to hear from him soon. Can't wait till Sept to see him...Enjoy your day Navy moms!
Hope you receive a letter this week, I know how I look forward to it also, our graduation day is August 31 and I am counting the days!
@Molleen, I recieved a letter on Friday instead. Yes his original graduation date was August 31 as well now its Sept. 7. Either way I am also counting down the days. Is your son in Illinois also?
Yes he is in Great Lakes and graduation is the 31st, just cant wait to give him a big hug, all his letters are so positive which makes me so happy. Happy you got a letter from your son, :)
