Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

attention future bootcamp graduates parents;
do not take the I-90 toll if coming from detroit or the east. stay on I-94 and do not get off. we followed the gps instructions which took us through the "bowels of hell". not a nice area. also try to get through the chicago area before 3pm. traffic at that time is horrific.other than that, the ceremony is overwelming and highly emotional; or at least it was for me. the color guards, the bands, and the precision that these sailors marched with was incredible. the waiting after to see your sailor seemed like forever. i don't know if the sailors that went to other states had to wait a long time to see their folks, but those that stayed at great lakes to go to their "a" school probably waited 2-3 hours or longer. so for future references, have them call you on your cell phone when their ready, and go get lunch or whatever.
You have posted this 4 times. Please delete 3 of the Blogs. Also, always put something in the "Post Title" box because when you don't, the program automatically uses the first 250 characters as the Title and that gets very wordy.
maybe you reprogram your typing skills along with you gps.
But it's very, very thoughtful of you to come back on this site and give everyone a "heads up" on the gps instructions. My husband prefers the old fashioned "Honey, where do I go?" method. He prefers my navigational instructions (aided by google maps) over a gps - he said it's more responsive, more accurate, cheaper and definitely cuddlier.
I am sure it was an honest mistake. Please don't get nasty about it. I thought we were here to support each other, not pick each other apart.
Lady, you are kind of funny, but not really mean.
Lemon, you are helpful and always respectful.
Abby, you might want to remove your post. It does not put you in a very nice light. But before you remove it, you might want to check it yourself for grammatical errors.
Bunker, you are a sweetheart.
Come on ladies, Shanny'smom was trying to be helpful. So what if she posted it four times? I am sure it was an accident. It's this kind of pettiness that leads to wars in the first place. Get over it!
