OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Heard from my SR on Wednesday. Today is Sunday.  SO happy to hear from him, and so unreasonably jealous and selfish to hafta share him with the rest of the family.  Thru this N4m site I've learned lots, and it was annoying to hear hubby, our dtr and son all asking him questions I coulda answered, when I had so much to ask him and so much time I wanted to give to HIM to tell us what he wanted us to know.  He had 20 minutes.  Spoke to us for about 10.... I hear he called his grandparents.  That was sweet of him, and sounds just like him, but I'm feeling SO jealous!!!  How f'd up is that?!  Anyhow, he didn't hafta get his wisdom teeth pulled... he's not finding PT difficult.  I think the classes part must be a little challenging, as he's not really mentioning that part of things other than that he "has another test" this week.  The whole denies TSS Clearance thing bugs me, and makes me worried and sad for him, but he seems to be handling it ok.  Who KNOWS where this road is going to lead him?  He sounds good, even with a sinus infection!

Looks like Tim and myself, Jordan, and Grandpa S will be driving out.  My brother Bob has been invited, but has been non-commital.  He's such an ass.  Brandon wants to go too.  I wonder how Tom will feel about that?

Vaca has been enough, I'm ready to go home.  Loving the time with Evie to pieces, but the rest.  Just can't get Amber to warm up.... tho she's plenty nice to Jordan, and to Tim, she's civil to me.  Just keeping my mouth shut and keeping the peace, and waiting for Weds.  Sitting in the business office at Billeting right now, trying to get the vaca pics uploaded to snapfish.  Long arduous task.  Ugh.  I think a decent laptop is in my near future.  This is bologna!  Havent even started to edit yet!

Anyhow.  Praying all goes well for Tommy and he excels at what he's doing, and feels good about himself.  I love and miss him to bits!  Actually, I miss being Mommy to them all, but this "chick" leaving the nest really seems to make it more real.  yuck.
