It has been a bit since I have been on here. Course I had to set up a new page after they deleted my old one since I hadn't been on while helping with my Dad while he was sick.  I was always on when my daughter was active duty, not as much while she was in the reservesI have been reminded how great our Navy is lately.  My sailor's daughter at the age of 7 has enlisted in the Navy and found a new family.  She was born into the Navy at the Bethesda Naval Hospital where her Mom worked as a Corpsman.  We found out Tabitha has a brain tumor when she was 5.  Recently had surgery to remove what they could.  Now she is getting ready for the next part of her battle chemo will be beginning in the next couple weeks.  She is expected to be in treatment for the next 15 months.  She has already been getting mail from her fellow sailors, veterans, navy moms and loves it.  So I figured why not ask the greatest bunch of mom's if they wouldn't mind sending a little message of encouragement to our Seaman Recruit.  I will try to post a picture of her getting sworn in after I get the picture from her Mom.  So if you or your sailor would like to send her a little message we got her her own PO Box for mail:

To be honest, I'm not sure I'd know what to write to her. So to you I'd like to say " Thank you for being such an awesome grandmother, fighting for her in any way you know how. It can't be easy having to remain strong for her and your daughter. All 3 of you have my wishes for a safe and speedy recovery for her. ". Let us know how she is doing.

Since it was your daughter that served, try posting this in Mom's of daughters 2. I think that's the title of the group, might be off a word or two

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to bring a little joy to your Tabitha!

We dropped our son off at the recruiter's office in Chicago yesterday for boot camp and are still on our way home, but I'll send her some mail soon. In the meantime, I'll be lifting all of you up in my prayers.
