im excited like hell to leave and to experience something that i pushed my mom to allow me to do because the miltary wasnt something she supported. im very apprecitive of this opportunity to leave early and get the ball rolling dont get me wrong.. its the fear that maybe ill let myself down in standard, proving to myself that what i thought i could do, i cant. i am aiming for 20 yrs in this service, doing as much and getting as much possible that i can. im fearful of my goals and expectation that i wont be able to prove myself right and more wrong. but im going into 150 percent study mode, workout mode and giving my all and i hope that you guys stand by me througout. im going to make my momma bear make a page on here and i hope that you guys support her throughout this, she dealing with divorce and im all she really has and thats one of my biggest fears is to leave my mom alone and by herself. im her support system and she is mine.. so i hope that you guys be to her what i wont be able to do as i used to. this woman is my heart and soul and thats my biggest fear for leaving honestly.

Welcome.  There is a lot of good information here, so she will know what to expect, that makes it easier.  Many good people, so she should be able to find folks going through the same thing.

Have you signed for a rating yet?  What are you looking at?

That can get exciting!  My dad was in Aviation, I was an ET, my nephew is a nuke on a sub.

Be very proud!!  :)  You are taking a big step. Someone once told me "you get what you expect". Expect the best from yourself every. single. time. Don't let fear paralyze you. You can do it. I don't post/write here as much as I would like to. Everything written goes to my email so I mostly just read. I have rec'd so much encouragement just doing that. Show your mom the way to this site and she will receive understanding, wisdom, encouragement, and support. I'm sorry about the divorce. You can encourage her to do things with friends before you leave. She will need an in real life support system too. You will feel better about leaving if you do. I don't know how old you are and I don't expect you to tell me BUT you are wise beyond your years kiddo!!!  You will make it. You will do great things.  Stay focused.
