As Denise says, no news is good news. Just hang in there, find your Son's group and communicate with others on this site. It helps greatly to know you aren't alone. We, as Moms, are so anxious to hear from our children but we have to remember that they are in this LIFE CHANGING situation and the communication to home is sometimes the last thing on their list to be able to do. Notice I said "to be ABLE to do." Not that they don't think about us - it's the extreme opposite...that's sometimes all they think about - when they have time, LOL. But the ability to make phone calls is sometimes not there at all depending on their division. And the ability to write isn't there the first several weeks. And then when it is there - they're too tired or their spare time is spent shining boots, ironing, etc. So hang in there.....I get teary-eyed whenever I think about it and it was last year! But it does get easier for you as a Mother. When they get out of BC, lines of communication open up and this helps greatly. Hugs!
