7 Days and she will be leaving for boot camp.

I am trying not to overthink the details of the process.  I think we have things under control , which is really just an illusion anyway, they tell me.  Today has been a strange day , though , one of those days that seems to pass very slowly as if it is a dream.

She is spending as much time with friends as she can, and as she should, before she leaves. Friends , old and new, try to find a time to see her and wish her well. I wonder what she is thinking as the time draws nearer.

She seems mentally prepared and seems eager to start her new life. I hope this path  gives her the purpose and direction that she is seeking. I hope she finds out how strong and capable she is .

I think she is. I am trying to be.

Ladichez ,   She will be an aviation structural mechanic.  How about your daughter?

Skeeter: My son has PIR on June 14. Twenty four days and counting. Friday is his 24th birthday, so I hope that he does not get teased too much. He had me post his address on Facebook, so I am sure that all of his friends sent him b-day cards.

Try to keep busy, and hopefully time will fly by quickly for you. Keep in touch.
