My son leaves in Aug. and I was doing well until the Memorial Day Services today at the High School I work at.  It made my brain run into over drive.  One of the things that hit me was the number of times in the last three months my son has said “Well this will be my last…..” (Easter at home, Fourth of July with the family, ect.) I know he is thinking ahead and wanting to get in as much FAMILY time as he can but REALLY “my last” is not the words.  I am so proud of my youngest son for his choose to join the Navy but he is my baby boy and I’ll miss him. Hey the blogger was right knowing  I can vent at others who will understand DOES HELP. Thanks Navyformoms.

Hi, My son joined on Tuesday, and found out he will go to BC in August (16th) He is my youngest of three sons and will graduate from high school on June 4th. This is all very new to us, never have been close to anyone in the military.... but yes proud of him for wanting to do this, he'll go to Pensacola for A school. I have been reading like mad, trying to get information to prepare.

This site helps a lot. I have been reading to. My boy stays up in Michigan for “A” School he wants to be in Medical Field.  WOW, I got lucky my boy has talked his whole life about joining the military. So Coming Too Soon is not like your house.  Did you see the First Day At Boot Camp Slide Show. ( It is fun) I have four kids, Boys 25, 19, and the NavyMan 18 and a Daughter 15. He how ever is the baby in the house.  What is your boy's "A" school chooses?

We just got our first letter from our Son.  He left for Boot Camp the day after Mother's Day so it was emotional.  In his letter home he said how happy he is and that he really loves it.    We are relieved and proud.

Change the "last" to "first"

Example:

This is my first Christmas as a US Sailor.

This is my first birthday as a US Sailor.

This is my first bank account as a US Sailor.

This is my first "big" purchase as a responsible US Sailor.

This is my first time purchasing airline tickets on my own account as a US Sailor.

See? How easy it is to make the conversion?
