For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Can't Get Enough
It seems like I can't get enough of the Navy. I downloaded all possible apps to my iPad, checked out a few videos and even found Courage, Honor, Commitment: Navy Boot Camp book! The only book we couldn't checkout today was the Naval History in photos. I love to read but also appreciate some good photography.
Tomorrow is our appointment with ENT. I am still trying to figure out what that means other than he is "the recruiter." I am guessing it is a technician of some kind because I know he isn't an ear, nose, throat guy. I have cleaned my house from top to bottom. I tend to do this when we get visitors for holidays too. The kids are always on edge and I am a frazzled mess. My grandma just laughs and says...wait until they come and do the clearance check. I guess she was in the middle of work when they sent for her to go and have a meeting (at a packing plant.) I teach, so it might be a nice little break! I just hope he is ready to meet the entire family - Greg made the mistake of telling me at a Sunday dinner and now my family is planning on being there. I told him it will be My Big Fat Mexican Family meets the Recruiter Meeting.
The plan is to sit down as a family and watch the Carrier video. Greg's baby brother (8) thinks he is ready for the Navy now because he loves to swim. He keeps trying to talk Greg into being AIRR so that he can be a rescue swimmer but Greg shakes his head no. We are learning all about this A-Pact and that Uncle Ralph isn't so happy about going in undesignated. I guess it was quite a big no-no during his time but it isn't anything new with the overmanned situation. Is it really that bad of a thing, should I be more worried?
